With such a mild winter here in Pembrokeshire many of our succulents are showing signs of flowering.
This aeonium haworthia hybrid is going to flower for the first time and it’s only 2 years old.
This aeonium rubra liniatum may not be a nitive to Wales but it seems the locals are enjoying an early supply of nectar.
Even the plants that stayed outside all winter are popping flowers up
Every winter I leave some of my collection outside as I love they way they look after the winter..a bit bedraggled early on but they make much more interesting and natural looking plants. But I always have one inside as an insurance policy in case we get a cold winter and I loose those outside. It’s a risk I think is well worth taking.
This aeonium cunniatum is a reluctant flowerer for me. It has only ever done it onece before so I was delighted to spot this bud yesterday.
the last one to flower sent up a 3 foot one!
Here’s a few more succulents in flower at the moment.
Even Lampranthus has started to flower
Thanks for reading..:-)
