This listing is for a carefully packaged, very well rooted Aloe Aristata in a 3″ pot. The plants are grown in locally sourced, organic (peat free!) compost in South West Wales (UK). The plants will be sent in their pots carefully packaged for post.
Aloe Aristata or ‘Lace Aloe’ is one of the hardiest Aloe varieties, quite happy in a UK coastal garden all year around (may need protection in higher up / frost prone areas). Aristata is a low growing, clump forming Aloe which offshoots readily to form a cover of evergreen lushus succulent rosettes. It’s fleshy foliage features soft spikes, little white dots and it’s most distinct feature; lace-like white tips.
Although semi-hardy, Aloe Aristata would be happy on a sunny windowsill or in a conservatory or greenhouse. Aristata likes the sun but will tolerate semi-shade. Once mature, Aristata will shoot up a tall tubular peach coloured flower in mid-late summer reaching up to 50cm tall!
Please note that Aloe Arista tends to close up it’s rosette in the winter when kept outside to protect itself, so the plants will vary in appearance throughout the year (see photos of winter/summer comparisons)
