Delospurma Echinatum or the ‘Pickle Plant’ is an interesting, easy to care for succulent. The ‘Pickle Plant’ has gherkin shaped foliage that features little white hairs all over. Although seemingly spikey, these little hairs are actually very soft to the touch unlike it’s cactus cousins! Pickle plant is fairly shrub-like in it’s growth habit, growing into a neat little bush and sprawling over edges when it gets the chance. It offshoots readily and is easy to propagate from stem cuttings. It would make a great statement pot, or provide great under-planting in a larger arrangement. Pickle Plant has the cutest little daisy-like flowers that appear in the UK summer months.

Delospurma Echinatum is very low maintenance and seems to tolerate sun and shade fairly well. It’s a fast growing succulent that will help purify the air of indoor spaces and add a flair of luscious greenery to any room. In the summer months Pickle Plant produces cute little yellow flowers.
