This listing is for a well rooted Alworthia ‘Black Gem’ succulent grown from propagation here at Corseside Nursery in West Wales, UK. The plants are available as well rooted plugs or larger potted plants. (Please select from the dropdown menu).

Alworthia ‘Black Gem’ is a bigoneric Aloe/Haworthia hybrid. It is one of the easiest to care for succulents we have, willing to tolerate both shade and sun equally well. It’s gorgeous foliage that deepens to a chocolate brown in the summer sun is it’s most district feature. Black Gem grows fast and offshoots babies very readily. This low growing, clump forming Aloe is great for beginners or those wanting a unique addition to their collection. Black Gem would enjoy a summer holiday outside but will need frost projection. It would love life as a houseplant near a windowsill. Fabulous when teamed with a contrasting coloured plant in a container arrangement. We are yet to see this one flower…
