If you love the more common Kalanchoe ‘Mother of Thousands’ then you will adore it’s cousin Kalanchoe Tubiflora ‘Mother of Millions’. This has a very similar growth habit, shooting up numerous stems that grow in an upright fashion reaching heights over 1m tall! It gets the Latin name ‘tubiflora’ from it’s tube-like foliage that works its way through the grey, bronze and green colour spectrums as it grows through the seasons. It has the most show stopping chandelier flowers that shoot up on panicles much like it’s cousin. (Our mother plants is currently coming into bloom so I will update photos in the next few weeks!).
Mother of Millions gets its name from the numerous plantlets that grow on the edge of it’s leaves. These naturally fall to the ground to create a dense mass of succulent loveliness. They are also perfect for removing (delicately) and using for leaf propagation, making terrariums or making mini succulent art. Mother of Millions is fairly easy going in terms of care and would be add great height and interest into a succulent arrangement.
Succulents thrive on neglect, so these are low maintenance, easy to care-for indoor plants that can live outside in the UK during the summer months (they don’t like frost!). CLICK HERE for our full care guides
